Our Story.
Earlymarket had been registered as a domain name many years before it ever evolved into a company. When Patrick Wills and Sarah Wills decided to involve themselves in the journeys of early-stage companies it was serendipitous that the name was already in the ether. They created Earlymarket to give themselves the opportunity to both support and gain an insight into new developments, and in doing so have a window on the future.
Our Investment Philosophy.
Earlymarket LLP is a family office with an investment arm dedicated to early-stage technology start-ups. We operate within six themes: the Energy Transition, Future of Agriculture, Personalised Healthcare, Healthcare Data and Delivery, Data Privacy and Security, and Web 3.0 (Smart Contracts). We are pro-active and involved as an investor, and from experience we have found the best time to have a meaningful impact is in the early stages of a company; therefore, we invest from pre-seed to Series A.

By the way, 早 means Early.
The character zǎo 早 is a pictogram of the sun (日 - rì) rising over a soldier’s helmet 十. The character 十 is an old form of jiǎ 甲, which now can mean “first” or "armour". Another way of interpreting zǎo 早 is, therefore, "the first sun" or "early morning".
