Patrick Wills
​Managing Partner

Paddy has worked in finance most of his career at Banque Paribas (now BNP), Deutsche Bank, Montier Partners and others. He managed a tactical investment portfolio for Catlin Group (now part of XL) before running his own company. He is a qualified helicopter pilot and has 2 children. 

​Paddy attended both Imperial College, London and University of Exeter and has a degree in Computer Science. He's also enthusiastic about self-driving cars and has completed a degree in the subject. ​

Sarah Chenevix-Trench
Managing Partner

Sarah spent 7 years in Asia in the 1980’s and early 90’s where she worked on a number of documentary film projects mainly for companies in Hong Kong including China Light and Power. She also wrote and produced a four part series on the environment for schoolchildren. After leaving Hong Kong she was involved in a couple of other projects including a retrospective for Ferragamo.

She has recently become involved in a well established international environmental charity. She runs a 200 acre ecofarm in Suffolk half of which is being rewilded. She has a degree in Zoology, is a qualified private helicopter pilot and has three children.​​

Alice Fresson
Chief Operating Officer

Alice is Earlymarket’s Chief Operating Officer. She has over 30 years of management experience in the finance, retail, philanthropy and recruitment sectors. In joining the disruptive startup community, she is excited to be in such a vibrant and innovative team. Alice is a Chartered Accountant, Life Coach, a proud Ambassador of Wellbeing of Women, and on the Board of Trustees for Regrow Borneo as of March 2023.

She loves to dance, travel, enjoys art classes, sadly hates to exercise-preferring restorative yoga instead! Being born in Malaysia where food and family are important, she is a satay, rendang and noodle foodie, and loves cooking for her family.

Asya Ghalachyan
Senior Investment Associate

Asya first joined Earlymarket as an intern in 2015. She is now responsible for managing the day-to-day running of our portfolio. This includes maintaining relationships with our portfolio founders and developing the wider investor network. She has also been involved with many of our investment transactions and decisions throughout the years.

Outside of the office, Asya takes a more relaxed approach to life, enjoying dance and spending time with friends and family.  She also finds herself performing at events throughout the year with Akhtamar (Armenian Performance Group).

Alex Godber
​Investment Analyst

Alex joined Earlymarket as an Intern in 2022. He graduated in 2021 with a first in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Leeds. Alex works across a broad spectrum of the deal cycle but is mainly focused on sourcing investment opportunities.

​Outside of the office, Alex is completing a course in FinTech whilst learning Python. He can be found on the golf course at the weekend and loves to travel.
